A calculator does not know your situation
Every tool here answers a narrow, well-defined question: what is the instalment on this loan, what is this body mass index, what is the tax on this income under these rules. None of them knows about your other debts, your health history, your family circumstances, an exemption that applies to you, or the reason you are asking. Those are usually what decides the right answer.
Use these tools to understand a number. Use a qualified professional to make a decision that depends on one.
Rules change, and pages lag
Tax slabs change with the Budget. Interest rates move with the repo rate. Contribution limits, exemption thresholds and health guidelines are all revised periodically, and sometimes without warning. We update our calculators when rules change, and the review date on each guide tells you when we last checked. Between a change and our update, a page can be out of date. Confirm anything that matters against the official source, several of which we link to.
Health and fitness tools
BMI, BMR, calorie and growth calculators are population-level screening estimates, built from averages. They cannot see body composition, medical history, medication, pregnancy or ethnicity-specific risk thresholds. A reading outside a normal range is a reason to speak to a doctor, not a diagnosis. A reading inside one is not a clean bill of health.
Financial tools
Our financial calculators use standard formulas and the assumptions we state on each page. They exclude what we cannot know: processing fees, insurance sold alongside a loan, penalties, taxes on returns, and the effect of a rate that moves. Past performance tells you nothing reliable about future returns, and no calculator on this site is a prediction.
Errors, and how they get fixed
We test every formula against worked examples before it ships, and a build check compares each calculator against those examples on every change. Mistakes still happen. If a result looks wrong, tell us the calculator and the exact inputs — it is usually enough to reproduce and correct the same day. That is the fastest route to a fix, and we are grateful for it.
