Agreeing to these terms
Using Calci.in means accepting these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. There is nothing to sign and no account to create; use is the agreement.
What you may do
Use every calculator on this site, as often as you like, for personal or commercial purposes, without paying us and without asking permission. Quote a result in your own work. Link to any page. Show a calculator to a client or a class.
What you may not do
- Republish our written guides as your own work. The calculators are yours to use; the explanations are ours.
- Copy the site, in whole or in part, to run a competing service under a different name.
- Request pages at a rate that degrades the site for other people, or work around measures that stop that happening.
- Use the site to break the law, or to mislead someone about what a result means.
What we promise, and what we do not
We promise that every formula on this site is implemented as we describe it, that we state our assumptions, and that we correct errors as soon as we learn of them. Reporting one is the fastest way to have it fixed.
We do not promise that a result is right for your particular circumstances, that a rate or a rule we have encoded is still current, or that the site will always be available. Tax slabs, interest rates and official thresholds change, sometimes overnight, and a page may not yet reflect the change.
Not professional advice
Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax, legal or medical advice, and using a calculator does not create a professional relationship between us. The Disclaimer sets this out in full and is worth reading before you rely on any figure.
Limits of our liability
Calci.in is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from the use of this site or from reliance on a result produced by it — including a decision you took, a decision you did not take, or an opportunity you missed.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Advertising and outside links
Adverts on this site are supplied by third parties and are not endorsements. Our guides link to outside sources, mostly regulators and official documents; those sites are not ours and their content is not our responsibility.
Changes and governing law
We may change these terms, and the effective date at the top will say when. Continued use after a change means accepting the revised version.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
